Maha Hosain
Director/ Co-founder
Maha Hosain has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Electrical Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, and 10 year experience in the industry as Mechanical Electrical Engineer. She has 3 years teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Undergraduate level Mathematical Modal Analysis and Thermodynamics.

Mariam Kouyate
Administrative Office
Mariam Kouyate is Crescent Academy’s front desk manager and teaching assistant with 4 years experience working with young children, before joining Crescent Academy in 2024.

Rubina Rahman
PreK-3
Rubina Rahman has a Masters Degree in Islamic History. She has been working as a preschool teacher since 2018, and joined Crescent Academy in 2024.

Laiba Farooqi
PreK-4
Laiba Farooqi has been with Crescent Academy since it’s founding in Aug 2023 as the Preschool Teacher. Laiba had previously worked with preschoolers for 5 years before joining our team.

Samira Jabbar
2nd Grade
Samira Jabbar had 27 year experience teaching multiple grades in elementary school, before joining Crescent Academy in Jun 2024.

Daaiyah Bilal
3rd Grade
Daaiyah Bilal joined Crescent Academy in Dec 2024 and has worked in the field of Education for over 41 years in New Jersey and New York City. She attended NJ City College, Temple University (PA), and Rutger Business School, and received degrees in Sociology, Music Education, and Islamic Studies.
Daa’iyah Bilal is a mother of five, grandmother of 19, and great grandmother of 14. Student of Imam WD. Mohammed for over 30 years. Made Hajj in 2003. Author/Researcher/Principal

Samah Akid
Arabic and Qur'an
Samah Akid has completed her studies in Qaida Noorania, and has been a teacher and student for Qur’an Memorization with Tajweed for 5+ years. She is a native of Syria, and fluent in the Arabic Language. She is a long-time member of the Islamic Community Center of Atlanta, and prior Sunday School Teacher as well.

Imam Kababa Drame
Islamic Studies and Qaida
Imam Kababa is the Imam at the Islamic Community Center of Atlanta and long time resident of the Fayetteville Community. He is a Hafiz-ul-Quran and has completed his studies in Islamic Law from Madinah Shareef.
